This Oregon Coast Summer Painting makes for great beach, or your primary, house decor. Painted using alcohol ink on YUPO paper and sealed with Kamar Varnish to protect the painting. Painting size is 14" W x 11" H, has a foam board backing and is wrapped in a sleeve (first image no sleeve and second image in the sleeve).
Alcohol inks are are an acid-free, highly-pigmented and fast drying medium to be used on non-porous surfaces. Mixing colors can create a vibrant marbled effect and the possibilities can only be limited by what you are willing to try. YUPO paper is synthetic, waterproof as well as recyclable, and is a desirable painting surface because it is bright white, slick and non absorbent. Kamar Varnish is an artist varnish that protects oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings like traditional damar, without the impurities and yellowing, and keeps colors looking fresh from the palette.
In spring of 2019 we stumbled across some paintings in a great beach town, Oceanside, on the Oregon coast. We reached out to the artist, Wendy Stevens-Mizee, and she agreed to let us sell some of her paintings. We had never seen anything like them so hope you appreciate and enjoy them as much as we do.
